dye gallery

My departure from using synthetic dyes has been one with consideration of our waterways and personal health. By growing, harvesting and using natural plants for dyemaking, we can become even more connected with the colors and gifts of the earth.  I am not one to shy away from extra steps in an art-making process. The weeks between gathering, making the dye, prepping the fiber, dyeing, and finishing are incredibly worth it when the results are so beautifully unique and natural. Open to collaborations and custom orders.

All works below (with exception of the socks) were thrifted, gifted, or found. They were all white before dyed. Regeneration is what this work is about. By using what we already have we can give new life to treasured clothes and housewares; eschewing waste and mindless consumerism through mindful traditional textile craft.
